I did it!!!

Last night I booked our Disney cruise!!!!! I am so excited about this trip. Mom, Dad, Dwayne, and Carla will be joining us, hopefully Amanda and Billy as well. Maybe even Jason and his crew. We will be sailing Sept 12, 2009 to Tortola British Virgin Islands, St. Thomas, and Castaway Cay (Disn'ey's private island). We will have 3 days at sea for a total of 7 nights on the Disney Magic! If anyone would like to join us, the rates are as low as $599 p/p for the 7 night cruise right now through Vacationstogo.com. I don't know how long that rate will last, which is why I put our deposit down last night!

I have always wanted to go on a cruise, but Eric is more of an activities kind of guy and was never thrilled with the idea... until we started researching the Disney cruises. Ok.. must get to work. I just had to share my excitment!

The Doodlebops

Megan and I both went to our first concert on Friday night. The Doodlebops came to the Sprint Center and Kendra was taking Emily and invited us to join them. We got pictures but they are on Kendra's camera so I hope to get them sometime this week from her. It was a good show, Megan had a blast dancing around, and they were pretty good performers. The Sprint Center is very nice as well, though the concessions are a rip off (typical for venues I know). What is sad is that I have been to the Ballet, seen Broadway plays at the Kennedy Center and have season tickets to Starlight... but I had never been to a concert. At 31 my first concert was the Doodlebops!

I finally scrapbooked Megan and Lauren's first birthday parties (no pictures yet.. I know... what is the point posting about them if I do not post pictures!) Only 3 years late for Megan but it is tough narrowing down the pictures! I received The Best of Becky Higgins for Christmas from Eric and LOVE it! I have already used it quite a few times to help with my pages. I love that I can narrow down my pictures, and then flip to the tab that correlates to that number of photos and choose a sketch! Ok... that is all for today. I know that I need to post more often, but there isn't that much going on! I will leave you with a cute quote from Megan while we were getting ready for bed the other night. Megan: "Mommy, you forgot one little detail" Me: "What?" Megan: "You forgot to get me a book!"

We survived!

We survived the chicken pox and I am so glad that we should not have to deal with that again (notice carefully worded phrase... "we should not") The girls handled it pretty well, Mommy on the other hand was going crazy! I did get a lot done during my forced time off of work though. The kitchen got a good cleaning, as well as the bathroom. I am almost caught up with laundry and I even cleaned out the closet in my craft room (I have a ton of books to get rid of, I am thinking of trying half.com... )

Cute Megan story. She loves her new Barbie house, and the other day she had all of the furniture set up in the kitchen. I asked her why it wasn't in her new house and she informed me that the Barbie house was the palace so the kitchen was Cinderella's (cause all of her Barbie's are princesses) house. Also,  she is so obsessed with princesses that her Barbies have to wear "ball gowns" or "they can't go to the ball" and she will not play with them. Crazy! So Mommy got on ebay and bought a bunch of Barbie ball gowns for her. She does not know this yet as I just won the auction this weekend, but I am sure that she will be thrilled when her dolls have a selection of ball gowns to choose from.

Chicken Pox and the ER

Yep. A wonderful start to the new year. Both girls have the chicken pox, and due to the apparently irrisistible taste of Benadryl we had to make a trip to the ER for some chocolate milk mixed with charcoal. Unfortunately for the girls I did not know who actually had the missing medicine so they both had to go to the ER. Megan claims that they both had some, so assuming they had equal amounts neither of them would have had a toxic dose. Better to be safe than sorry though, so off we went to the ER. Megan did great in the ER, and Lauren did not do bad considering the situation. I am so lucky that my parents live nearby. Mom came up to sit with Megan while I was holding Lauren (who refused to sit by herself) and then came back to the house to help me give the girls a bath and get them in bed.

So now I have a week of being cooped up with 2 itchy fussy girls to look forward to. If it weren't for the $200 ER bill that I am expecting in the mail I would have Eric take atleast 1 day off, but then he would lose his overtime pay for the week!
