No training wheels!

That is right... we have NO training wheels in the Boettcher household! Lauren has mastered riding her bike without training wheels at only 4 years old! Here are a couple of pictures and videos of Lauren showing off her skills:

Sira's First Homecoming

Sira experienced her first Homecoming this weekend. First the football game Friday night (we won!) and then the Homecoming Dance on Saturday. Sira, Maike, and Hannah went to dinner at Stix and then to the dance together before coming back to our house for a sleepover. They had such a good time and I am so glad that Sira got to experience this American tradition.

Sira's Banner

I made this name banner for above Sira's bed and am so happy with how it turned out!

I started with a Maya Road chipboard banner album, and covered it with Scenic Route PP. The letters were cut with my Cricut (Plantin Schoolbook) and are popped up over scalloped circles cut with Nestabilites from vintage sheet music and Papertrey Ink cardstock embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. A little (ok.. a lot) of Papertrey Ink's Tea Dye Duo was used . I sprayed the flowers (from my stash) with Olive Vine glimmer mist, and added a Maya Road stick pin behind a Papertrey Ink button. The banner pages were connected with some Pebbles Ink ribbon that I have had in my stash forever!

Here are some detail pics!

Back to blogger!

I have decided to move my blog back to blogger... and combine the family and crafty blogs into one. I have realized that I do not blog frequently enough to justify paying for Typepad or for having two separate blogs. Especially when most of the visitors to my blog come from family and friends who read both anyways. So... here we are back to blogger!

Please be patient while I get things set up the way that I want it, and get posts imported from Typepad.
