Louisburg Cider Mill

On Friday the kids were out of school and Eric was off of work, so I took the day off and we went on a "Field Trip" to the Louisburg Cider Mill. They have a pumpkin patch (we waited too long to actually pick our own pumpkins though) and a corn maze as well as a little playground for the kids. We brought our own  sandwiches and bought our drinks and yummy yummy apple cider doughnuts there.

Then we headed over to the the haystacks where all three girls had fun running on the top of the bales and jumping into the hay below.

We successfully navigated the corn maze, which is surprising since Megan and Lauren were leading the way...

Then we played on the playground

and picked out pumpkins before heading home.

The weather was typical Kansas fall weather, complete with a quick rain shower, and fun was had by all.

Happy Anniversary... a little late

Eric and I celebrated our 8th anniversary on September 28th. We kept it pretty simple and exchanged cards and went out to dinner on the Plaza. This is the simple, masculine but elegant (I think) card that I made for Eric. The cardstock is Papertrey Ink's Stampers Select White and Soft Stone.  The patterned paper all came from scraps in my stash. I know that some of it is Basic Grey... but I not sure about the rest. I heat embossed the "Always" (from Papertrey Ink) and you can not tell from the picture but the red heart is actually glossy paper. All of the hearts were cut from the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge.

Tooth-fairy box

Megan lost her first tooth a few weeks ago, and we decided that it needed a special little box while we waited for the tooth-fairy to pick it up!
The little tin, cardstock and ribbon are from Papertrey Ink. The yellow fabric is from Hobby Lobby. I used some white dew drops (not sure if that is the actual name though...) from my stash and the cute little tooth image was cut with my Cricut. I found the cut file on SVGCuts and resized it down to 1" and added some stickles.

Amanda's Birthday Card

I took the easy way out for Amanda's birthday and got her a gift certificate to a local shop called Picket Fences and Petals. They always package their gift certificates in a little box with a beautiful bow, so I needed to make a card to coordinate with it!

All supplies are Papertrey Ink except for the stickles. The color is off on the first picture and I can not get it right, but wanted to show you the card next to the pretty package.

New blog background

My little sister Amanda designed my new blog background and header for me! I believe that she used Stampin Up's My Digital Studio (MDS) to design both the background and the header. Her blog design is super cute also and uses an adorable owl image. Check it out here!
