Cricut Vinyl

I got an order of vinyl in yesterday and had to play with it! I ordered the Silhouette Vinyl from Custom Crops in Yellow, Light Pink, Dark Pink, White and Black. Using my Once Upon A Princess Cricut Cartridge and the dark pink vinyl I turned this:

into this:

Sorry for the flash glare, the lighting on this side of the room is not very good. I know that i need to lower the "L", but for my first try it was not bad! The Silhouette Transfer Paper is VERY sticky. It was hard to get the vinyl to transfer to the bed because it wanted to stay on the transfer paper! I am sure that I will get the hang of it as I play with it more, but for now I am pleased!

American Girl

Background PP is from Me and my Big Ideas, the ledger PP is from CI. I cut the title out with my Cricut... but I can't remember which cartridge I used! The pink flower is from Heidi Swapp, and I made the white flower from a strip of lace and an MM brad. The blue photo mat is actually from cuttlebug embossing folders packaging. The ruffled ribbon was in my stash.

Megan's School Pics

I had a hard time figuring out how to scrapbook Megan's school pics.. but am thrilled with the results!

I used some old Fresh Prints PP from my stash for the background. A paper bag for the photo mat/ journaling envelope. I added a border with the paper bag punched with a Fiskars border punch. I played around with the title and cardboard and used some Ranger Distress crackle paint, a little bit of misc white paint, and some Thickers make up the title. The "Kk" sticker is from foof a la, and I am not sure where the green twill came from. I had Megan write her name on some cream CS and she will write on the journaling tag her favorite things about school.

New Neighborhood

I love our new neighborhood. It is quiet, has lots of young families, and has very little traffic. The kids can ride their bikes in the street, there is a playground right up the road, and they are already making lots of friends!

Graduation Gift

I started out making a card for my sister and playing with PTIs new felt. I wanted to make a flower... but it turned out a little big for a card. So I turned it into a pin/ headband instead!

Then I made a card with more of the felt..

And a coordinating notepad (there are actually 2 PTI notepads in this holder

I used PTI's Hawaiian Shore CS, Felt, and ink. Lots of pearls, some glitter (applied with a Zig 2-way Glue Pen), Nesties, a little ribbon and some stitching were used to tie all 3 pieces together.

Mother's Day... a little late

I am way behind on posting my projects!

I had a Mother's Day card for my Mom all ready to go when I went and bought the gift card for her. The store that I got it at wrapped it so pretty that I decided I needed a coordinating card instead of the one I already had.

2010 05 08_0011

I started with PTIs kraft cardstock, and pulled the colors from the ribbon on the package. I used PTIs Vintage Cream, Hibiscus Burst and Lemon Tart CS and ink, and New Leaf ink with Floral Frenzy and Mother stamp sets. Some pink tulle, Lemon Tart ribbon, PTI buttons and jute finish off the card.

Sprinkler time!

The girls love playing outside in the sprinkler. They have discovered that if you put the sprinkler close enough to the slide it get slippery and they can slide down faster. They love it!
