More Wise Owl

Here is another card that I made using the Wise Owl stamp set.

2009 05 25_1206

I followed pretty much the same steps as I did in the card I posted yesterday. I changed up the ribbon, and the positioning of the polka dots. I only matted the focal image once to leave room for a sentiment. This one is a Thank You that I plan on giving to my FIL for the graduation gift he gave me.

Supplies (All PTI unless noted):
CS: Kraft, Ripe Avocado, Plum Pudding, Vintage Cream
Ink: Dark Chocolate, Ripe Avocado, Plum Pudding
Ribbon: Ripe Avocado
Stamps: Polka Dot Basics, Wise Owl, Wise Owl bellies
Other: Nestabilities

A Congrats Card

I made this card for a co-worker who completed her MBA shortly after I completed mine. I love my new stamp set that my sister bought for me! The owls are adorable!

2009 05 25_1204

I stamped a row of Polka Dots (Polka Dot Basics) in Ripe Avocado on a base of Kraft. I added the ripe avocado twill to the center of the polka dots. Using my sisters new nestie set (don't know the name) I matted my focal image using Plum Pudding and Ripe Avocado. The focal image is stamped on Vintage Cream CS using Dark Chocolate, Ripe Avocado and Plum Puddings inks and the Wise Owl  and Wise Owl Bellies stamps. The card needed something else so I rounded the bottom corners.

Supplies (All PTI unless noted):
CS: Kraft, Ripe Avocado, Plum Pudding, Vintage Cream
Ink: Dark Chocolate, Ripe Avocado, Plum Pudding
Ribbon: Ripe Avocado
Stamps: Polka Dot Basics, Wise Owl, Wise Owl bellies
Other: Nestabilities

PTI Blog Hop - Yellow

Bloghoplogo

It is time for another PTI Blog Hop! This month the challenge was to use the color yellow!

2009 05 25_1202

It is hard to see, but I stamped the solid lines from Journaling Lines in the Lemon Tart ink on the Lemon Tart CS for a striped background. I then layered the Aqua Mist Bitty Dot paper and the Stampers Select White. The small stars from the Anniversary Set were stamped in Lemon Tart, and the large stars were stamped in Aqua Mist (hard to see in this pic.) I also stamped the large star on the Lemon Tart CS and cut it out, then I added some Martha Stewart Glitter to it and popped it up using a pop dot. Some Lemon Tart Twill and the sentiment stamped with Smokey Shadow finishes it off!

Supplies are all PTI unless otherwise noted:
CS: Lemon Tart, Stampers Select White
PP: Aqua Mist Bitty Dot
Ink: Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist, Smokey Shadow
Stamps: 2009 Anniversary Set (need to find the name), Journaling LInes
Ribbon: Lemon Tart Twill
Other: Martha Stewart Glitter

Another tea gift

I made this for my Grandmother with the same stamp set that I used for my Mom's Mother's Day gift, and the same tea. Instead of the large tea tins, I used the 8oz square clear top tins also from Papertrey Ink. The box with the acetate slider I designed myself. I used the square scallop nestabilities for the focal image. I love the tea pots in this set! It is hard to see, but on the side of the tins I stamped some of the sentiments from the Tea for Two stamp set in the Spring Rain ink.

Mother's Day Gift

Yes, I am a week late. I am still trying to catch up from my business travel! Here is the gift that I made for my Mom for Mother's Day. My Mom loves tea, and we are lucky enough to have a great little tea shop in town that sells loose teas. I bought some Ginger Peach and some Blackberry loose teas for her as well as a mug and tray featuring her favorite yellow roses. I put the teas into one of PTIs tea tins and decorated them to match the mug and tray. The box that the tea tins are in I designed myself. Both flowers were sprayed with Glimmer Mist, and the smaller flower on the card has some stickles added to it as well. You can click on the images for a larger picture.

Happy Birthday Lauren!

Three years ago today I gave birth to our baby girl, Lauren Marie. It is hard to believe that it has been three years already! Though Lauren is a total "Mommy's girl", always wanting to hold my hand or sit with me, she is a mini (female) version of Eric. She is the rough and tumble one who is always getting dirty, and loving it. She loves to climb and run and she is always singing lately. She had to get something from Mommy after all!

The battery in the camera died right after this picture was taken so we do not have any pictures of her riding her bike yet. She loves it though!
